Weekend at WSTLKE - Jan 25th

Skijor

This weekend at WSTLKE we were busy. We ran out after work on Friday to thrift our way through Bozeman, hunting for warm layers to survive standing outside all day Saturday in 10 degrees. We tried on massive fur coats, leather bombers, and the coolest cadet caps (ChatGPT helped us figure out what they were called). We left with a few very good finds.

Saturday was for SKIJOR — which, if you’re wondering what that is… same. Skijor is a skier being pulled by a horse through a course of jumps, turns, and rings of fire as fast as possible. Extremely impressive and a little bit scary. We had front-row seats to what felt like the winter rodeo and sipped double hot toddies from dawn to dusk.

Sunday we slowed things down and grilled with friends. We met our girlfriend’s new horse, Jordy, and even snuck in some content since our new sweaters arrived this week

What we wore: thrifted leather vest and faux fur cinch waist coat; Nuuly Western color block jeans; bandana scarf
